UNMC Transplant Symposium (Attendee Information)
This site is intended for registered participants of the UNMC Transplant Symposium.

Welcome! Thank you for joining us.
The University of Nebraska Medical Center has a strong history of caring for patients with end-stage organ failure and transplantation as a curative treatment. The unique opportunity for UNMC as a transplant center is the presence of an active clinical program in all forms of solid organ transplant, including heart, lung, liver, kidney, and intestine.
The care and treatment of transplant patients require a multidisciplinary and interprofessional approach. Collaborative innovation in clinical care, as well as research from a foundational, translational, and clinical nature, holds the promise of a positive impact on patient outcomes.
This symposium will provide opportunities for internal collaboration and external engagement for the transplant programs at UNMC and Nebraska Medicine and create a framework to lead the world in transforming lives to create a healthy future for all individuals and communities affected by end-stage organ failure.
Symposium Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Review the current state-of-the-art approach to interdisciplinary care in solid organ transplantation.
- Evaluate emerging research, trends, and clinical practices related to solid organ transplantation.
- Identify opportunities for clinical and research collaboration, discovery, and program development in solid organ transplantation.
