Welcome, Registered Attendees!
We’re excited to welcome you to the Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Society (MWPCS) Annual Meeting, where you’ll join colleagues and leading experts from across the region to explore innovative strategies and multidisciplinary approaches that are shaping the future of pediatric cardiology.
This year’s theme, "Expanding the Scope of Pediatric Cardiology," will highlight contemporary practices and cross-disciplinary insights that enhance care for young patients with cardiovascular conditions.
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Summarize recent advances in cardiac rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, focusing on their impact on pediatric patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate interdisciplinary strategies for applying cardiac rehabilitation in pediatric patients.
- Integrate recent developments in cardiac rehabilitation into multidisciplinary care plans to improve functional outcomes and quality of life for pediatric patients with heart conditions.
- Analyze current screening guidelines and pharmacologic management strategies for lipid disorders in children.
- Identify effective methods for assessing and treating lipid abnormalities to reduce cardiovascular risk factors in the pediatric population.
- Describe recent innovations in cardiac genetics relevant to pediatric cardiology.
- Identify emerging trends in the clinical application of cardiac genetics in pediatric cardiology.
- Incorporate cutting-edge technologies into routine pediatric cardiology care to support personalized treatment and improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Outline how technological advancements, including artificial intelligence, can streamline diagnostic processes and improve pediatric patient care.
