We're excited to welcome you to the State of the Heart: 3rd Annual Heart and Vascular Conference! Get ready for two full days of cutting-edge education, where top experts in cardiovascular medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular care will share the latest breakthroughs in diagnosis, treatment, and technology. As an attendee, you’ll enjoy expert-led lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and valuable networking opportunities with peers and leaders in the field.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Integrate current diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the evaluation and management of heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, including advanced pharmacologic, device-based, and surgical interventions. 
  2. Identify emerging technologies and procedural innovations in electrophysiology, cardiovascular imaging, interventional cardiology, and structural heart interventions to optimize patient outcomes. 
  3. Implement evidence-based, multidisciplinary approaches for the assessment and management of complex cardiovascular emergencies, incorporating the appropriate use of mechanical circulatory support systems. 
  4. Incorporate best practices and evolving evidence into the surgical management of vascular and cardiothoracic conditions, including advanced endovascular, hybrid, and open repair techniques.
This accredited continuing education activity is designed for cardiologists, primary care providers, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
Joint Accreditation with CommendationIn support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physicians
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 9.5 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.

Emergency Medical Services Professionals
The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education, EMS  and Trauma Division approves this educational opportunity for 9.5 hours of Emergency Medical Services Continuing Education. 

 

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to ear MOC points in: 

  • 9.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

It is the CME Provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting MOC credit.
