This accredited continuing education activity is designed for Maternal–Fetal Medicine clinicians, obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, advanced practice providers, labor and delivery and mother/baby nurses, outpatient OB clinic nurses and providers, as well as quality improvement leaders and patient safety coordinators.

Upon completion of this enduring material module, the participant should be better able to:

  1. Synthesize advanced concepts that influence management and assessment of hemorrhage, pathophysiology of coagulopathy.
  2. Assess pitfalls in the management of hemorrhage.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of the purpose of integrating advanced aspects of hemorrhage management.
  4. Evaluate how to implement advanced hemorrhage strategies into practice.
