Nebraska State Trauma Symposium

Nebraska State Trauma Symposium

This comprehensive two-day educational activity designed to advance the knowledge, skills, and performance of health care professionals involved in the care of traumatically injured patients. This symposium brings together experts from across the state and nation to explore critical aspects of trauma care—from system-level coordination to bedside clinical interventions.

Through core presentations, interactive sessions, and focused breakout sessions, participants will gain valuable insights into the latest evidence-based practices and strategies for improving patient outcomes.

Symposium Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

  1. Describe the role of comprehensive trauma systems in enhancing patient outcomes and promoting coordinated care across various health care settings.
  2. Evaluate current evidence-based practices in trauma resuscitation, including the use of whole blood, and examine their implications for patient care.
  3. Identify strategies to optimize trauma care in diverse settings, including rural hospitals, through effective resource utilization, adherence to clinical guidelines, and interprofessional collaboration.

Target Audience

This accredited continuing education activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency medical services professionals, public health professionals, fellows, residents, students, and other health care providers involved in the care of trauma patients or interested in trauma systems and emergency response.
