EMS/Trauma AHA Training Center
The UNMC Center for Continuing Education is a recognized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center. We maintain an Emergency Cardiac Care Training Network for instructors of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). We serve as a liaison to the AHA by implementing Emergency Cardiac Care science and education in the community, as well as maintain an instructor database, perform quality assurance activities, and act as a resource for AHA instructors.
AHA Course Matrix
The ECC Course Matrix provides a comprehensive listing of all training courses offered by the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Program. This matrix includes courses for health care professionals, lay rescuers in workplaces, and the general public. It features information such as course name, content, approximate class time, instructor and student materials needed, etc.

How to Submit Your Paperwork
We prefer that you scan and email your paperwork to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 402-559-5915. If you prefer to submit your paperwork via postage mail, you must provide a return mailing address. Please make sure that you keep a copy of all the paperwork for your records.
Please ensure that you are using the correct roster and that your students provide ALL required information.
Please note that there will be:
- an additional charge of $25 if roster information is incomplete; and
- a $10 charge to replace each card because the name on the roster was not legible.
You must submit the required paper work within ten (10) business days of the class. There is a $10 per day late fee for paper work not submitted.
Please allow up to 30 days for UNMC CCE to distribute cards after submission of required paper work.
There is an additional $5 (for BLS) and $10 (for ACLS and PALS) fee per card. $10 (BLS) and $15 (ACLS and PALS) will be charged for every duplicate copy requested.
The AHA requires that each student completes the course evaluation. Please make sure that all information are filled out. Missing information could cost an additional $25.
Important:If you keep a piece of equipment beyond the initial pre-paid rental period, you will be charged an additional weekly rental rate.
You are expected to return equipment clean (see manikin decontamination) and in proper working condition. You will be billed for any repairs that may be needed if equipment is not in proper working condition or will be billed for full replacement cost of equipment due to loss or destruction, regardless of cause.
Failure to adhere to equipment rental policy may result in the loss of your instructor rental services.
