Dr. Heidi Keeler

Dr. Keeler joined the College of Nursing Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in 2011. Bringing years of experience in clinical practice and education, as well as expertise in nursing research, Dr. Keeler held a faculty position with the College and served as Nurse Planner for Continuing Nursing Education. Dr. Keeler received her baccalaureate degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA and her doctoral degree in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. In addition to leading the Continuing Nursing Education team, she serves as Lead Nurse planner and as lead faculty for Continuing Nursing Education’s online Gerontological Nurse Certification Preparation Course. Always looking for opportunities to improve nursing practice, Dr. Keeler works with partners to develop programs using innovative educational and outcomes measurement modalities that advance nursing expertise and improve overall patient safety and experiences.

Renee Paulin

Renee Paulin is a Registered Nurse who joined the Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) Team in March 2017 as the Nurse Planner. She graduated with her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing degree from Loyola University in Chicago. Renee has had a variety of clinical experiences as well as years of experience specializing as a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse. In addition, she has achieved her Masters of Science in Nursing consisting of both education and executive tracks at Nebraska Methodist College. Renee has always enjoyed educating nurses and assisting with improving patient outcomes.

Anjella S. Heath

Anji joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in February 2008 as an Office Associate after relocating from Newington, CT to Omaha. Anji attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she studied Hotel Management. She uses her management expertise in communication, organization, and a keen eye for detail to plan and develop interactive online educational activities for internal and external partners. In addition, she manages the overall planning and implementation of live and online continuing education activities held outside of the state of Nebraska.

Valeta Creason-Wahl

Valeta joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in March 2012 as Program Associate and previously served as Program Coordinator for the Nebraska Center for Cellular Signaling (2003-2012) and CE Coordinator (2006-2012) in the College of Dentistry at UNMC. She holds a certificate in the event and meeting management from the Event Leadership Institute. She is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating over 100+ education activities locally, regionally, and nationally each year. She manages a varied portfolio of continuing nursing education activities in partnership with the College of Nursing, UNMC Center for Continuing Education, Olson Center for Women’s Health, professional organizations, and medical education companies.

Courtney Smith

Courtney, an Omaha native, joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in February of 2019 as an Education Projects Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall of 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Courtney is a member of CiPDI’s team responsible for staying up to date on ANCC accreditation criteria for every program CiPDI hosts. She is also responsible for maintaining CiPDI's social media accounts while also continuing to help make sure our programs run smoothly.

Nate joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in March 2022 as CiPDI's administrator. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management. Nate provides administrative support to the team that includes budget planning and control, Accounts receivable/payable management, contract support, grant tracking, process improvement and other business management-related tasks.

Tim Gilbert

Tim joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in February of 2012 as an Accounting/Office Associate. He has been at the College of Nursing since 2002 and had worked on a wide variety of grant-funded projects prior to joining CiPDI. A graduate of Creighton University he also attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he studied Business Management. Tim’s primary responsibility is the Gerontological Nurse Certification Prep Course, CiPDI's online offering that prepares registered nurses to take the ANCC certification exam. His duties include customer service, aiding in the creation and development of marketing materials, and creating and disseminating various reports related to the functioning of the course.

Maninder Hora (Manni)

Manni joined Continuing interProfessional Development and Innovation (CiPDI) in May of 2012 as a Web/Database Analyst and currently working as an IT Project Manager. He completed his bachelor's in computer science and then a master's in management information systems. He holds certification in project management and system analysis & design. He is certified as, Scrum Master. Manni's primary responsibilities involve providing overall team leadership, management, supervision, and accountability to the unit director for successful IT business and systems analysis, planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of multiple complex IT Projects for both internal UNMC and external business clients. Responsible for end-to-end project implementation and execution from initiation through delivery within the approved budget and time.
