Essentials of Staphylococcal Genetics and Metabolism Workshop

Essentials of Staphylococcal Genetics and Metabolism Workshop
July 14-19, 2024
Center for Staphylococcal Research, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, USA

The Essentials of Staphylococcal Genetics and Metabolism workshop presents participants with an advanced understanding of the genetic and metabolic techniques commonly used by the staphylococcal research community. These techniques include bacterial cell culture and interpretation of metabolite analysis, transduction, allelic replacement methodologies and use of the Nebraska Transposon Mutant Library (NTML). The workshop will feature presentations by principal investigators whose careers reflect various aspects of staphylococcal biology, including virulence factor production, regulatory mechanisms, metabolism, biofilm development, and host/pathogen interactions.
