Yutan, Neb., received the Nursing Excellence Award from the UNMC College of Nursing Alumni Council in fall 2025. She currently serves as a principal medical science liaison at Genentech.
Sheri Rowland N’00, GS’17
Gretna, Neb., was inducted into the UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators in September 2025. She is an associate professor in the College of Nursing Lincoln Division and an advanced practice family nurse practitioner.
Tammy Webster RST’00, GS’18
Gretna, Neb., was appointed executive associate dean of the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions in fall 2025 and will serve in the capacity until a permanent dean is appointed. She previously served as associate dean for academic affairs for allied health.
Lisa Moravec DH’02
Scottsbluff, Neb., was honored with two prestigious awards in fall 2025: the Alumni Achievement Award from the UNMC College of Dentistry Alumni Association and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Chadron State College. She serves as an associate professor and site coordinator for the UNMC College of Dentistry West Division Dental Hygiene Program in Gering, Nebraska, and is also an adjunct faculty member for Idaho State University’s Dental Hygiene Graduate Program. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education degree from A.T. Still University.

Kearney, Neb., was selected for the 2025 NurseTRUST Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program. She serves as an assistant professor and interim assistant dean in the UNMC College of Nursing Lincoln Division.
Waterloo, Neb., received an Outstanding Teacher Award from the UNMC faculty senate in April 2025. He serves as a professor in the department of pathology, microbiology and immunology, and vice chair of medical education in the College of Medicine.

Papillion, Neb., was selected to participate in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s 2025-2026 cohort of Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing Program.
Amber Donnelly PH’04, GS’08
Elkhorn, Neb., was appointed associate dean for academic and student affairs in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions in fall 2025, after serving as associate dean for student affairs for more than five years. She also holds the title of M. Patricia & James W. Leuschen Professor in the college. Prior to this, she served as director of the cytology program for more than 20 years. She also recently passed the prestigious International Academy of Cytology (IAC) examination and was personally invited by the president of the IAC to serve on the Foundation Committee, recognizing her expertise and contributions to the field.

Omaha, Neb., received the Mid-Career Achievement Award from the UNMC Graduate Studies Alumni Council in fall 2025.
Omaha, Neb., was named a Distinguished Educator by UNMC’s Interprofessional Academy of Educators in fall 2025. She serves as a clinical associate professor and director of campus culture in the department of pharmacy practice and science in the College of Pharmacy. She also received the college’s 2024-2025 Impact Award.

Council Bluffs, Iowa, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the UNMC College of Nursing Omaha Division, effective July 1, 2025. She also serves as director of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program and interim director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

Omaha, Neb., received an Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Junior Faculty Award from the UNMC faculty senate in April 2025. He serves as a professor in the division of oncology/hematology, in the department of internal medicine in the College of Medicine.
Lincoln, Neb., Iowa, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the UNMC College of Nursing Lincoln Division, effective July 1, 2025.

Aurora, Colo., graduated with her PhD in 2024 and started working for the VA National Oncology Program as an RN Informaticist in 2023. She has been an affiliate faculty member at Regis University teaching informatics since 2011.

St. Paul, Minn., was promoted to the rank of professor in July 2025, at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.

Carroll, Iowa, joined the McFarland Clinic’s family medicine department in May 2025.

Aurora, Neb., was inducted into the UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators in September 2025. She is a nurse specialist in the College of Nursing Lincoln Division.

Omaha, Neb., is a clinical associate professor of pharmacy practice and science in the UNMC College of Pharmacy and serves as a clinical pharmacist in the Specialty Care Center HIV Program. He received the college’s 2024-2025 Scholar of the Year Award.

Lincoln, Neb., was inducted into the UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators in September 2025. She serves as an assistant professor in the department of dental hygiene.
Rebecca Swanson N’07, ‘11, ‘18
Omaha, Neb., was inducted into the UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators in September 2025. She is a clinical assistant professor in the College of Nursing Omaha Division, and coordinator of the pediatric nurse practitioner program.
Arvada, Colo., retired from medical practice at age 33 and has embarked on a career in public health. He currently co-owns a Denver-based consulting firm focused on behavioral health and Medicaid.
Columbus, Neb., purchased Dental Works of Columbus in March 2025. She has been an employee dentist there for the last 17 years.
Bloomsburg, Pa., was named director of the physician assistant program at Pennsylvania College of Technology in September 2025.
Farmington, N.M., is serving as president of the New Mexico Dental Association for 2025-2026.
Elkhorn, Neb., joined UNMC in spring 2025 as an associate professor and director of the solid tumor cancer immunology section in the department of pathology, microbiology and immunology. She is the principal investigator of the Bailey-Lundberg Lab, and faculty member in the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

Omaha, Neb., began UNMC’s Faculty Development Interprofessional Leadership for Excellence and Academic Development (iLEAD) Program in July 2025. She has served as an assistant professor in the physical therapy program since August 2016, and as director of the orthopedic physical therapy residency program since January 2020.

Sibley, Iowa, was named to the N’West Iowa REVIEW Business section 20 under 40 list in March 2025.
Kearney, Neb., was selected for the 2025 NurseTRUST Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program in January 2025. He serves as a clinical assistant professor in the UNMC College of Nursing Kearney Division and is the specialty coordinator for the adult/gerontology acute care nurse practitioner program. He maintains an active faculty practice as a hospitalist nurse practitioner at Lexington Regional Health Center and was appointed interim director of the Morehead Center for Nursing Practice in October 2025.

Beatrice, Neb., received a New Investigator Award from UNMC in fall 2025. She serves as an assistant professor in the College of Nursing Lincoln Division.

Broken Bow, Neb., took over as co-owner of Pearson Physical Therapy in Broken Bow, in January 2025, after 14 years of practicing there.
Elizabeth Wellsandt PT’09, MS’20
Omaha, Neb., began UNMC’s Faculty Development Interprofessional Leadership for Excellence and Academic Development (iLEAD) Program, in July 2025. She joined the physical therapy program as an assistant professor in June 2016 and has directed the program’s clinical movement analysis space within the Ryan Wellness Innovation Lab since 2018. In 2022, she was promoted to associate professor with tenure.
