Alumni Reunion Weekend

Celebrating graduates from the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy with class years ending in "1" or "6".

We are excited to welcome you back to campus this fall for Alumni Reunion Weekend. This is a special time to reconnect with classmates, reflect on shared experiences, and see the exciting growth of your alma mater.

Invitations will go out by mail and email in late June, with registration opening at the same time.

 

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Omaha for Alumni Reunion Weekend. You’re welcome to book within this block or choose any lodging you prefer.

Dates: September 17–20, 2026
Location: Hilton Omaha – 1001 Cass Street
Room Options: 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds
Rate: $149/night + tax

Booking Details:

  • Room block available until August 21, 2026, or until filled.
  • Complimentary airport shuttle to/from Eppley Airfield.
  • Book online or call 402-998-3400 and give the code 91L to book in the UNMC Reunion Weekend block.

Please note: Reunion attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the UNMC campus during Alumni Reunion Weekend.

Registration will open in late June and will close on Friday, September 4, 2026.

Confirmation 

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with your selected events and guest(s). If you do not receive this email or if anything looks incorrect, please call the Alumni Association. About one week before the reunion, you will receive a second email with important details to review before arriving on campus.

  • Option 1: iExcel in the Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center and the Wigton Heritage Center 
    iExcel showcases high-fidelity simulation and experiential learning technologies, and the Wigton Heritage Center features UNMC history exhibits. 
  • Option 2: The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Chihuly Sanctuary 
    The Chihuly Sanctuary features 10 site-specific art installations and offers a place of respite and reflection for patients receiving treatment at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
  • Option 3: Campus Walking Tour 
    The walking tour will see various locations on campus.

Dean’s Reception with Lepaine Sharp-McHenry, DNP

This session will include a state-of-the-college update and recognition of the 2026 award recipients, the Class of 1976 on their 50th reunion, and the Class of 1971, who were unable to celebrate their 50th reunion five years ago. Following the program, the Dean will host a reception in the commons area, with light hors d’oeuvres and beverages. 

 
College of Pharmacy Alumni Programming 

2 – 2:45 p.m. 
Tour of the College of Pharmacy  
UNMC Center for Drug Discovery and Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education, 2nd level, atrium. 

Enjoy a student-led tour of the new College of Pharmacy building, which opened in 2016. The tour will also stop by the old College of Pharmacy building, Williams Science Hall.

3 – 4:30 p.m. 
Dean’s Reception with Don Klepser, PhD, MBA 

UNMC Center for Drug Discovery and Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education, 2nd level, room 2006.  

This session will include a state-of-the-college update and recognition of the Class of 1976 on their 50th reunion. Following the program, the Dean will host a reception in the atrium, with light hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

Husker Football kicks off at 6:15 p.m. vs. North Dakota. The UNMC Alumni Association does not have events planned in conjunction with the game, unless noted in the class party listings linked in the tab above.

Reunion attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the UNMC campus during Alumni Reunion Weekend. Upon arrival to campus on Friday, shuttle transportation will be provided from the parking lot to the reunion check in location. More information will be available in a confirmation email to registrants.
