Brake for Breakfast is a free, drive-thru cancer screening and prevention event led by the Nebraska Medicine | Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in partnership with UNL Extension and community partners across the state.
Originally launched as a local event, Brake for Breakfast has now expanded into a statewide initiative, bringing cancer screening education to Nebraskans—especially in rural and underserved areas.
What to Expect
At Brake for Breakfast events, participants can:
- Enjoy a free breakfast and complimentary giveaways
- Learn about cancer prevention, screening recommendations, and available resources
Events are designed to be quick, convenient, and accessible, offered as drive-thru morning events (from 7–9 a.m.) while supplies last.
