The 16th Biennial Breastfeeding: Baby’s Natural Choice Conference is a comprehensive event designed for health care professionals involved in maternal and infant health.
This conference brings together experts in lactation, mental health, and pediatric care to address the multifaceted factors influencing breastfeeding practices.
Through a blend of lectures, case discussions, and interactive sessions, participants will explore strategies to support breastfeeding, address challenges in lactation, and promote maternal-infant well-being.
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Identify the multifaceted factors influencing breastfeeding practices, including maternal well-being, infant health, and societal influences.
- Evaluate strategies to support breastfeeding through informed decision-making, effective communication, and evidence-based interventions.
- Analyze current trends, challenges, and opportunities in lactation support and maternal-infant health care to enhance professional practice.
In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physicians
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 6.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
Social Workers
This program meets the criteria of an approved continuing education program for social work.
Dietitians and Medical Nutrition Therapists
This activity has been submitted to the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for prior approval of CPEUs. Approval is pending.
Lactation Consultants
3.00 L-CERPs, 1.00 E-CERPs and 2.00 R-CERPs allocated by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE); IBLCE approval # C2025470.

- Fellows/Residents/Students – $50

Cancel/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your registration, please email registrationCCE@unmc.edu no later than Aug. 20, 2025. There is a $25 processing fee for cancellations made by Aug. 20. Cancellations made after this date and registrants who fail to attend are responsible for the full registration fee.
