Call for Abstracts

The Meeting Chairs and Abstract Planning Committee invite you to submit abstracts for the 2025 Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Society (MWPCS) Annual Meeting. This is a premier opportunity to showcase the latest research and innovations in pediatric cardiology.

Case reports and trials in progress are welcome, provided the information is original.

Presentation Opportunities

Selected abstracts will be invited for moderated platform presentations. All other accepted submissions will be presented in poster format.

• Only one presenting author per abstract may submit the abstract.
• The presenting author is required to register for the conference.

Abstract Submission Deadline: Aug. 1, 2025
No abstract will be accepted after the deadline.

Submission Guidelines

• Submission Method: Abstracts must be submitted online only. Paper copies will not be accepted.
• Language: All abstracts must be written in English.
• Format: Submit as a .doc or .docx file.
• File Naming: The title of the file must include the presenter’s last name and first name initial, followed by “MWPCS-abstract” 
  (e.g., Smith-AM-MWPCS-abstract.docx)
• Length: The abstract, including title and author information, must not exceed two pages and may include text, figures, images, and tables.
• Page Size: Standard US Letter (8.5” x 11’)
• Margins: Use 1-inch margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
• Line Spacing: Use single spacing throughout the document.

Abstract Requirements

Each abstract must include:

• Title: All in uppercase letters
• Author(s): List names with the presenting author’s name underlined. Use initials or full first names before the last names.
• Institutional Affiliations: Include city, state, and country for each author.
• Structured Sections: Use the following four headers:
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

Presenter Information (Required):

• Full name, credentials, and professional title
• Complete mailing address (including city, state, zip code, and country)
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Indicate whether your abstract should be considered for:
  • Platform presentation, or
  • Poster presentation only

Abstracts not selected for platform presentation will automatically be considered for poster format.

Important:

The MWPCS Committee will not edit abstracts for typing, spelling, or grammatical errors. Please carefully proofread all text for errors before submitting your abstract.

It is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure their abstracts are completed and accurate upon submission.

Abstracts that do not comply with the above guidelines will be rejected.
