I want to thank all instructors for carrying out the important AHA mission of teaching lifesaving education. What you do could preserve or save a life.

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I started at UNMC in April and feel we have the best staff working in EMS. Their commitment to customer service and problem solving is impressive and I hope you feel the same. Although I am new to UNMC, I am not new to AHA. I previously served as a Training Center Coordinator (TCC) at another healthcare organization and then managed a TCC and full team of instructors. You may notice a focus on compliance throughout this newsletter. Compliance encompasses teaching within the AHA guidelines, completing all appropriate paperwork, and follow up after class to ensure students claim their cards and take surveys.
