Most clinical biopsy specimens exist as formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPE). Use of FFPE allows for specific selection of tissue and subsequent semi-quantitative proteomic analysis, which highlights important biomarkers and pathways that are aberrantly present in blood cancers.
