Laura Anderson is a clinical instructor for the Department of Surgical Specialties and Dental Hygiene at the UNMC College of Dentistry. As a graduate of UNMC, dental hygiene class of 1994, she is proud to still be a practicing clinical dental hygienist. She has been at UNMC in surgical specialities since 2017 when she was hired as staff dental hygienist in grad perio. Her position continued to evolve to include research, clinical instruction working with dental students and clinical instruction in the dental hygiene department.

This ability to share her passion for patient care and the importance of non-surgical therapy for those fighting periodontal disease is truly a gift. This opportunity to work with the students is what attracted her to the college after general practice. She shares her dental experience in general practice, pediatrics and periodontics with the future dentists and dental hygienists of tomorrow.

Laura is also a registered yoga instructor and has been asked to provide yoga, meditation and breath work for our wellness program at the College of Dentistry to further serve the students at the College of Dentistry.
