The UNMC College of Dentistry Office of Continuing Dental Education provides dental professionals with the latest techniques and advancements in the field.

Each year, we offer more than 65 engaging courses, serving more than 1,700 oral health professionals nationwide.

Taking a Course

Course registration fees include handouts, course materials and other amenities designed to create a comfortable learning environment.

We strive to present all courses as scheduled. If a course must be canceled, every effort will be made to notify those who have pre-registered. Participants who choose to cancel their registration will receive a refund, minus a processing fee, provided cancellation notice is received before the course begins. The processing fee is applied to each individual course and is specified under the cancellation policy for each listing.

No refunds will be issued after the course begins.

Unless otherwise noted, courses are held at the UNMC College of Dentistry on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln East Campus, located at 4000 East Campus Loop South in Lincoln.

Complimentary parking is available only for courses held on East Campus. Parking instructions will be emailed to all registrants before the course.

To receive continuing education credit, participants must complete and submit an anonymous course evaluation after the activity. For self-instructional courses, successful completion of a content-based quiz is also required. To request a copy of continuing education credit, please submit this request form.. Please allow up to 72 hours to receive a response or a copy of your continuing education credit via email.
It is the policy of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry Continuing Education office to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all of its sponsored educational activities. All participating speakers, course directors, and planning committee members are required to disclose to the program audience any financial relationships related to the subject matter of this program. Relationships of spouse/partner with proprietary entities producing health care goods or services should be disclosed if they are of a nature that may influence the objectivity of the individual in a position to control the content of the CDE activity. Disclosure information is reviewed in advance in order to manage and resolve any possible conflicts of interest. Specific disclosure information for each speaker, course director, and planning committee member will be shared with the audience prior to the speaker’s presentation.

The Office of Continuing Dental Education is recognized by the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program, which was created to help dental professional identify quality providers of continuing dental education.

The recognition program does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Concerns or complaints about a continuing education provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at the American Dental Association.
