James Jenkins, DDS

James Jenkins, DDS, teaches general dentistry on the clinic floor. He is currently teaching part time. He practiced dentistry privately for 18 years before accepting a full-time position at UNMC in 2002. He also lectures on forensic dentistry, dental missions and patient illicit drug problems and dentistry.

Dr. Jenkins is on the Board of Directors of the Academy for Private Dental Practice in addition to being a member of the American, Nebraska and Lincoln District Dental Associations and a fellow in the International and American College of Dentists as well as the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He serves on the Veteran's Mission of Mercy Board of Directors. He is on the Nebraska Forensic Dentistry Identification team and serves on various committees for the college. He also enjoys playing in the Raw Nerve dentist rock and horn band.
