Independent Living

The Independent Living Program is one of two new programs within the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
The Occupational Therapy Department offers services aimed at supporting safety and independence with daily living skills. Our goal is to collaborate with patients and families to gain insight into the environment, functional abilities and limitations affecting participation in daily activities. Sessions take place in a simulated apartment with a kitchen, bedroom, laundry space, bathroom and living area to practice skills in a natural environment.
