The Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP) is designed to address the special needs of rural Nebraska by encouraging rural residents to pursue a career in the health care fields.

Students from rural communities who will plan to practice in rural areas of Nebraska are eligible to apply. Students may apply to the RHOP program at the same time they apply for admission to the state college. Nontraditional students who are willing to begin their undergraduate work as freshmen regardless of previous education are also encouraged to apply.
