Interim Admissions Policy
In response to changes in academic policies and procedures being implemented at
institutions of higher learning across the U.S. in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,
and with the intent of supporting the continuous education of students pursuing
admission to allied health profession education programs at the University of Nebraska
Medical Center (UNMC), the College of Allied Health Professions (CAHP) is instituting
the following interim admissions policy effective immediately:
Grades of “Pass,” “Satisfactory,” or “Credit” (or grades of equivalent nomenclature)
issued by an accredited institution of higher learning for course work completed during
the Spring and Summer 2020 academic terms and the 2020-2021 academic year, will
be accepted for all prerequisite courses required for admission into any CAHP health
profession education program. There is no limit on the number of credit hours that will
be accepted. The policy applies to the current and all future admission cycles.
The CAHP acknowledges that as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic applicants may
have encountered situations impacting their ability to meet other application
requirements as well. Applicants with questions regarding application requirements are
invited to contact the CAHP Office of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs for
further discussion.
