    Biomaterials research is one of the fastest growing areas at the College of Dentistry and actively collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of partners across UNMC.

  Our fourth-year dental students rotate to established dental practices with established dentists who serve as preceptors and mentors.

Student Research Day

UNMC College of Dentistry Research Day 58th Frank M. Wentz Student Scientific Program

Our annual Research Day will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, in the Dixon Auditorium and Lower Level of our Lincoln building.

All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to show support for our students and learn about their research projects.

View the research posters anytime from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Please stay for the keynote speaker and awards ceremony

Event Schedule

12:30-3 p.m.: Student poster presentations by D3, DH4 and Postgraduate students.

3-4:15 p.m.: College leadership and keynote speaker.

4:15-4:45 p.m.: Awards ceremony and closing remarks.
