Scholarship - Northeast Nebraska

A scholarship is available for northeast Nebraska students attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Nursing Northern Division in Norfolk, NE. The UNMC Excellence Scholarship is designed to develop nurses who live and work in the 24-county region of Northeast Nebraska. The counties include: Antelope, Boone, Boyd, Brown, Burt, Cedar, Cherry, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Madison, Nance, Pierce, Platte, Rock, Stanton, Thurston, Wayne and Wheeler.

The scholarship is contingent upon maintaining program requirements and is based on individual financial needs. Funding for the scholarship is provided by the Nursing Fund for Excellence, which was established to provide greater financial assistance for students in the Northeast Nebraska region.

Scholarship applications will be accepted until August 1st for each academic year (Fall/Spring) and until May 1st for summer courses.
