College of Allied Health Professions
In November of 2015, alumni representing each of the professions in the College of Allied Health Professions met and voted to form a single (all inclusive) CAHP Alumni Engagement Council, that will meet together approximately quarterly. The former “chapters” (CLS, PA, PT, RSTE) are committees within the larger single organization and will remain profession specific, with a chair who will serve as the primary contact for that profession. It was also determined that the Council would be open to any alum who wished to participate and that each profession represented in the CAHP Alumni Engagement Council would hold two votes (regardless of number of participants from the given profession).

Also in 2015, the UNMC Alumni Association Board of Directors voted to usher in a “New Era of Alumni Engagement.” In an effort to reach and connect with more alumni of UNMC, we now offer automatic alumni association membership to all graduates. In doing so, we have concluded the membership dues program and are honoring all existing memberships. We extend special recognition and thanks to our lifetime members.
