Submit your nomination for a 2026 award by December 15, 2025.
Award Categories

The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes the achievements of alumni who have made significant contributions to the field of public health.

The Early Career Achievement Award recognizes the achievements of alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the field of public health within the first five years of completing a degree from the UNMC College of Public Health.

Final determination of award recipients in the above categories is based on an outstanding contribution to public health, including any of the following categories: leadership in public health, public health practice, teaching and scholarship, research, community/society, and/or the UNMC College of Public Health.

The Empowerment Award recognizes the achievements of public health alumni who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive environment within their communities and professional spheres. Examples of this include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting collaboration and engagement to support equitable access to public health resources.
- Implementing initiatives, projects, or programs that enhance opportunities and improve outcomes across populations.
- Serving as an advocate for fairness and accessibility in public health initiatives.
- Engaging in philanthropic efforts that contribute to community well-being (e.g., mentorship, civic engagement, or public service).
