EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participants should be better able to:

Discuss the signs and symptoms of delirium in hospitalized patients and the most common causes related to the delirium.
Identify evidence-based treatment strategies for delirium as derived from case-based scenarios.
Describe the roles and responsibilities of the healthcare team when identifying risk factors for delirium including how to manage the possible complications.
