Hastings celebrates its most famous invention at the annual Kool-Aid Days festival, marking the birthplace of Nebraska’s official soft drink with a weekend of family events—a grand parade, 5K fun run, duck derby, kardboard boat races, kids’ fishing tournament, and the signature Kwickest drinking contest.

Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Community Outreach & Engagement staff will be on-site providing cancer research education and take-home resources on the priority cancers most affecting rural Nebraskans.
