For some of the funding opportunities from private institutions, the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center manages the pre-application nomination process directly due to limited submission opportunities. Funding Opportunities
The V Foundation supports high-risk, high-reward cancer research led by exceptional scientists at National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers and other leading institutions across the United States. Visit the website for information on funding opportunities: https://www.v.org/
a. V Foundation Breaking Barriers in Cancer Research Award. This includes two grant mechanisms, V Scholar and Translational.
Funding cycle: Application is expected to open in December, subject to changes in the funding schedule.
1. Grant specifics for V Scholar:
- Funding will be in the form of a 4-year grant totaling $800,000, paid in annual installments of $200,000. No indirect costs are allowed.
- The V Foundation follows NIH salary cap guidelines.
