The 2026 Big Ten Neuroscience Annual Meeting marks the fifth annual gathering of the Big Ten neuroscience community and will be hosted by UNMC. This meeting brings together students, trainees, and faculty from across Big Ten institutions, along with colleagues from the Omaha academic and biomedical research community, for a day of scientific exchange, collaboration, and professional development.
The Big Ten neuroscience community highlights the breadth of cutting-edge research across its member institutions, spanning basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that supports scientific dialogue and growth across all career stages.
The meeting features three keynote lectures from leading investigators, a multidisciplinary poster session, and thematic sessions with oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts. To further facilitate community building, the meeting will conclude with an optional networking reception and dinner.
Faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees in neuroscience and related biomedical fields from Big Ten universities and Omaha-area institutions, including Children’s Nebraska, Creighton University, and Boys Town National Research Hospital, are warmly encouraged to attend.
Unable to travel to Omaha? We invite you to join us virtually via livestream. Remote participants will have full access to the scientific program, the opportunity to engage with presenters in real time, and the ability to earn continuing education credits.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe recent advances in neuroscience research and evaluate their implications for clinical and translational practice.
- Identify opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and be able to apply strategies to initiate or strengthen research partnerships.
- Develop a personalized plan to enhance career development, including identifying relevant training resources and mentorship opportunities.
- Apply principles of translational neuroscience to design research or clinical approaches that address regional and national community health needs.
In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
This live activity has been approved for 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
