The 2026 Big Ten Neuroscience Annual Meeting marks the fifth annual gathering of the Big Ten neuroscience community and will be hosted by the UNMC. This meeting brings together students, trainees, and faculty from across Big Ten institutions, along with colleagues from the Omaha academic and biomedical research community, for a day of scientific exchange, collaboration, and professional development.
The Big Ten neuroscience community is dedicated to highlighting the breadth of cutting-edge research across its member institutions, spanning basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that supports scientific dialogue and growth across all career stages.
The meeting will feature three keynote lectures from leading investigators, a poster session, and breakout sessions with oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts, all designed to encourage interdisciplinary engagement and scientific exchange.
Faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees in neuroscience and related biomedical fields from Big Ten universities, as well as institutions in the Omaha area—including Children’s Nebraska, Creighton University, and Boys Town National Research Hospital—are warmly encouraged to attend.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe recent advances in Big Ten neuroscience research and evaluate their implications for clinical or translational practice.
- Identify opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and apply strategies to initiate or strengthen research partnerships.
- Develop a personalized plan to enhance career development, including identifying relevant training resources and mentorship opportunities.
- Apply principles of translational neuroscience to design research or clinical approaches that address community health needs.
In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
This live activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
