Occupying 20,000 sq. ft. within the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation, the Warren G. Sanger Human Genetics Laboratory provides more than 130 diagnostic tests for various areas of genetic health: Prenatal and Pregnancy Loss, Postnatal and Hematology/Oncology.
Comprised of more than 40 individuals with a collective 500+ years of dedicated service to UNMC our team includes directors board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG), technologists certified in cytogenetic and molecular biology, and a licensed and certified genetic counselor.
Individuals within our laboratory are credited in over 40 articles and publications and over 100 abstracts and presentations yearly, including lectures and posters at national meetings and educational institutions.
Our laboratory has hosted visiting scientists from China, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, Singapore, and other academic labs in the United States.
