Shawnalyn Sunagawa, PharmD
Dr. Sunagawa is a clinical instructor and postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is a clinical pharmacist who practices at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Specialty Care Center, HIV Program. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Creighton University and completed a pharmacy practice and infectious diseases pharmacy residency at Nebraska Medicine. She joined the College of Pharmacy in 2023.

Research Interests
Dr. Sunagawa’s research interests include antiretroviral pharmacokinetics, HIV prevention and treatment, sexually transmitted infections, and public health.
Teaching Activities
Dr. Sunagawa lectures in the Infectious Diseases/HIV sections of Pharmacotherapy III and within the HIV elective.
