Stratocore PPMS

Stratocore PPMS is a centralized, web-based platform available to UNMC researchers that supports the efficient use and management of core facilities and shared resources. Designed to enhance transparency and streamline workflows, Stratocore PPMS provides researchers and administrators with a unified system for accessing services, managing equipment, and coordinating financial operations.

What You Can Do with Stratocore PPMS

Whether you're a researcher or a core facility staff member, Stratocore PPMS offers tools to simplify and organize your work:

Monitor lab group usage and spending
Review and accept draft invoices for lab activity
Request changes to default financial accounts for lab group members and projects
Receive lab group-related notifications
Track service requests and project status

Transition Timeline

Several core facilities across UNMC are transitioning from RSS to Stratocore PPMS on a rolling basis. During this phased rollout, some facilities will continue to use RSS until their migration is complete.

The transition timeline provides the most current information about which system each facility is using. Transition updates will also be provided by shared research resources for their users.

Guidance & Support

Soon to come user guides will provide general instructions on the most common functions for NU researchers and financials administrators. Shared research resources may also provide specific instructions in Stratocore PPMS for accessing their services.

How do I access Stratocore PPMS?

For NU users, go to Stratocore PPMS, select the shared research resource of interest, and log in with your NU credentials. For external collaborators, please directly contact the shared research resource you'd like to use.

Do I need training before booking equipment?

Yes. Most instruments require approved training, which can be requested through Stratocore.

How do I report equipment issues?

Use the “Report Incident” feature in Stratocore to notify facility staff.

How is billing handled?

Stratocore integrates with NU financial systems to generate invoices based on usage and services.

Can I track research projects in Stratocore PPMS?

Yes. You can associate bookings and services with specific projects and publications.

Is support available?

Will all facilities use Stratocore PPMS?

Not necessarily. Facilities are transitioning to Stratocore PPMS in phases. Some facilities will remain on RSS during the transition or indefinitely.
