Lab Groups
Group Setup and Changes
- Set up a new lab group: Complete the Lab Group Setup Form.
- Change group membership or information: Email StratocorePPMS@unmc.edu. Note: Only system administrators can make group membership changes.

About Lab Groups in Stratocore PPMS
- A Group represents a lab, research team, or organizational unit under a Principal Investigator (PI).
- Groups manage users, projects, and financial accounts.
- Each lab group is identified by its PI.

Lab groups can access services and manage activities across multiple UNMC core facilities.
Researcher Affiliation
- Each researcher can only be affiliated with one lab group.
- If working with multiple labs:
- Choose the primary lab for PPMS affiliation.
- Collaboration with other labs is still possible through projects or cost objects.
Roles and Permissions
Each group within Stratocore PPMS includes specific roles with defined permissions:
- Group Member (Researcher/Student)
- Can request services, book instruments, and participate in projects, depending on permissions granted by the Group Manager(s) and Account Manager(s).
- Group Manager (PI and/or Lab Manager)
- Manages the financials related to the group
- Can manage users, view usage, and assist with billing
