At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participants should be better able to:

  • Discuss the prevalence and the principles of basic management of perinatal depressive disorder, perinatal obsessive-compulsive disorder, and postpartum psychosis.
  • Describe the basic components of the risk-risk discussion of the treatment of perinatal mental illness with the patient. 
  • Recognize the urgency of postpartum psychosis.
