Research Funding Opportunities

NCI-designated Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center fosters leading-edge research and collaboration among scientists. Through internal funding initiatives, we empower principal investigators (Buffett Cancer Center members) to explore novel research ideas and engage in team science projects that address critical cancer care and treatment challenges.
Besides internal funding opportunities, we pave ways to support early stage research investigators from clinical and basic sciences to navigate external funding opportunities from prestigious agencies such as the National Cancer Institute and National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, American Cancer Society, and others.
Buffett Cancer Center funds investigators and research ideas at all stages. Please refer to the individual opportunities for specific eligibility criteria.

NIH Public Access Policy
The National Institutes of Health requires all manuscripts accepted for publication that receive direct cost support from the CCSG to be submitted to PubMed Central and be assigned a PubMed Central ID (PMCID). This includes publications that used CCSG-supported Shared Resources that were supported by CCSG Developmental Funds.
Once obtained, the PMCID must be included at the end of the full citation in applications and reports.
