Detrek Hansen

Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) Student Researcher

Detrek Hansen is a junior at the University of Utah pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Originally from Frisco, Texas. Detrek enjoys running trails, playing volleyball, and traveling around the world. Detrek is currently participating in Dr. Dong Wang's lab as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) at UNMC. Their research focuses on developing polymeric prodrug nanomedicines with applications in targeted drug delivery. Detrek aims to further explore chemistry and medicine through translational research. Ultimately, Detrek aims to attend medical school and be a force to the advancement of patient care.
