Clinical Research Spotlight Award

The Clinical Research Spotlight Award was developed to recognize individuals and teams for the outstanding work they contribute to making clinical research successful across UNMC and our clinical partners, Nebraska Medicine & Children's Nebraska.

Nomination Process

Submit a nomination form to provide information about the individual you are nominating, the award you are nominating them for (and the reasons why), and your contact information. You have the option to remain anonymous or have your name shared if the nominee wins an award.

Award Categories

Everyone's efforts count! Therefore, we created four award categories so that all members of our teams can be recognized, whether they are newer employees or are more senior in their career. Categories include:

  • New Researcher Awardindividuals with less than 1 year of experience in research at UNMC/NM

  • Established Researcher Awardindividuals with 1 to 3 years of experience in research at UNMC/NM

  • Distinguished Researcher Awardindividuals with more than 3 years of experience in research at UNMC/NM

  • Research Leadership Awardindividuals serving in a position of leadership within any department (lead, manager, or director) with more than 5 years of experience in research at UNMC/NM

Eligibility

Current employees in any position that supports clinical research functions, such as a Research nurse coordinator, research non-nurse coordinator, research assistant, data coordinator, project coordinator, regulatory coordinator, clinical trials analyst, research biller, Epic research support, IRB analyst, SPA specialist, etc.

Award Selection

Nominations can be submitted throughout the year. In mid summer, nominations received will be reviewed and an individual will be selected for each award category. Award winners will be announced at a Quarterly Clinical Coordinators Meeting during the late summer or early fall.
