CVIT Fall Course Fee Cardiovascular Interventional Technology Covers Trajecsys enrollment fee for clinical courses (MITS 473/673R and 474/674R). Trajecsys is an online clinical management and tracking system. The fee is paid to Trajecsys prior to the start of the fall semester of each program year & covers both semesters.
Perfusion 1 Fall Course Fee (Year 1 CPE Only) Clinical Perfusion Covers N95 Fit Testing for CLPR 506
Perfusion 2 Fall Course Fee (Year 2 CPE Only) Clinical Perfusion BLS training ($80); drug panel screens ($45); and access to My Clinical Exchange ($30); one hour of statistical analysis from UNMC biostatistics department ($95).

DMS Fall Course Fee Diagnostic Medical Sonography Covers Fall course fees for SDMS Membership fee* ($50), Trajecsys enrollment fee** ($150), and Scan Bands used in both clinical and lab scanning ($30). Ergonomic cable brace used in both clinical & lab scanning ($10) *Membership to the SDMS is required so students can access the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and the related CE quizzes used in a number of courses. **Trajecsys is an online reporting system that tracks student attendance, clinical evaluations, and exam competencies.
GC 1 Fall Course Fee (Year 1 Only) Genetic Counseling Covers Fall course fees for standardized patient costs ($27.50) for GENC 610 and registration for Resolved Through Sharing workshop, a workshop designed to meet the bereavement care needs of genetic counseling students ($40)

GC 2 Spring Course Fee (Year 2 Only) Genetic Counseling Covers Spring course fees for board practice exam ($55) for GENC 711 and Project DOCC, which is a national curriculum designed by parents of children who have chronic illness or disability, using parents as teachers; the Genetic Counseling program partners with this program and each student interviews one parent ($75) for GENC 718.
MRI Fall Course Fee Magnetic Resonance Imaging  Covers student licensing fees to use ScanLabMR, a virtual laboratory for MRI scanning ($700); and Trajecsys enrollment fee for MITS 465R/665R ($100). Trajecsys is an online clinical management and tracking system.

MLS Spring Laboratory Fee Medical Laboratory Science Covers the MLS technology & software licensing fee ($138) for MLS 417 & 445, which pays for the MLS iPad leasing fee for use by students in the MLS lab and the ViewsIQ Panoptiq virtual microscopy licensing fee, which provides access to the web-based viewer for students.
OTD1 Fall Lab Fee Occupational Therapy Covers ADL lab expenses and the lease expense for the Village Flats apartments in Kearney and the Davis Global Center apartments and the furnishing of linens, utensils and furniture ($72), PPE ($5), Lab Instructors ($153), Standardized patients for objective standardized competence exams ($44), and equipment depreciation expense for Dynamometers, Pinch Gauge, Sensory Objects ($13).
OTD1 Spring Lab Fee Occupational Therapy Covers lab instructors ($82) for OCCT 532; lab instructors ($61) for OCCT 521; standardized patients ($34) for OCCT 521; equipment replacement and maintenance costs (wheelchairs, ADL equipment) ($20); live client (expert with lived experience - stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, etc.) ($7); purchase of new or updated or replacement standardized assessments used in practice ($15); and lab instructor for OCCT 550 ($34). This fee also covers ADL lab expenses and the lease expense for the Village Flats apartments in Kearney and the Davis Global Center apartments as well as furnishings such as linens, utensils and furniture for OCCT 532 ($55); and lab, orthotics, dysphagia, and activity supplies ($32).

PT1 Fall Lab Fee (Year 1 PT Only) Physical Therapy Covers Fall lab fees for HMS I: range of motion measurement supplies (goniometer, inclinometer, tape measure ($22), mobility equipment replacement/upkeep including wheelchairs, assistive devices for gait/transfers ($5), hourly salaries for standardized patients ($65); linens and lab equipment repair and replacement, such as hi-lo tables, stools, chairs, and benches ($10) for PHYT 502; LF range of motion supplies, specifically reflex hammers ($3) and gait belts ($15); and lab instructors ($45).

Tier I applies to students in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Radiography Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Cytology programs. The fee is needed to support the rising cost of clinical placements due to increasing complexity and competition, expanding enrollment in the college, and the growing need to support students with ADA accommodations. The fee is based on the utilization of clinical education services provided by the college. Tier I represents the lowest cost level, for those programs with fewer annual clinical experiences, or whose students participate in experiences at a limited number and/or stable cohort of affiliated sites (largely Nebraska Medicine, for example). 
CAHP Tier II Clinical Education Placement Fee Fall semester only: MLS, Rad Tx, GC, OT, PT Additional Other Fees This fee will offset some of the expense incurred placing students in clinical sites for experiential learning.  Examples of the activities to be supported by the fee are developing new clinical sites, completing new and renewal affiliation agreements, scheduling student rotations, completing and documenting all pre-rotation compliance requirements including site-specific orientation and training tasks, background checks, immunizations, and EMR training.

Tier II applies to students in the Medical Laboratory Science, Radiation Therapy, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy programs. The fee is needed to support the rising cost of clinical placements due to increasing complexity and competition, expanding enrollment in the college, and the growing need to support students with ADA accommodations. The fee is based on the utilization of clinical education services provided by the college. Tier II represents the mid-level cost, for those programs with more annual clinical experiences, and/or whose students participate in experiences at a larger number and less stable cohort of affiliated sites than Tier I programs. This fee will be fully implemented in academic year 2025, as noted with the initial proposal in FY24.

The fee is needed to support the rising cost of clinical placements due to increasing complexity and competition, expanding enrollment in the college, and growing needs to support students with ADA accommodations. The fee is based on the utilization of clinical education services provided by the college. Tier III represents the highest cost level, for those programs with the most annual clinical experiences, and/or whose students participate in experiences at largest number and ever-changing cohort of affiliated sites than Tier I and Tier II programs. This is the second year of three years, for the fee implementation period, as proposed in FY24. The final Tier III fee is projected to be $555 per year in academic year 2026.

CON Technology Fee-Undergraduate & Graduate Supports expenses related to classroom, testing center and learning technology, such as repair/upgrade classroom equipment, replacement/repair of clinical equipment, and specialized personnel to support instructional technology deployment, training, and use.
ATI Learning System – Levels 01-05 Fee: The ATI Optimal RN package is utilized in the undergraduate program and embedded in the curriculum to prepare students for the NCLEX (licensing exam). The ATI products are continually enhanced using evidence-based information which correlates to student performance and leads to improved test scores and board pass rates for CON students. A review of other vendors was completed, but none have evidence-based solutions and similar product offerings. In addition, the current vendor provides excellent customer service. For these reasons, the decision was made to retain the current products and vendor.

Undergraduate study abroad exchange students are enrolled in one semester of College of Nursing courses. The exchange students do not utilize this software product as part of their course work because they do not sit for the national NCLEX licensing exam. Therefore, they are not charged this miscellaneous fee.
CON Undergraduate (Traditional and Accelerated) Course Fee: Course fees will be used to pay the salary and benefits of a Clinical Placement Coordinator to seek and coordinate clinical sites for students to complete their clinical practica and Academic Success Coordinators at each of the five divisions across the state to provide students with additional supports to help them succeed academically and ultimately pass the licensure exam upon graduation.

In addition, this fee supports the student iPad program, which makes the curriculum paperless for students. This program requires additional technology hardware expenses such as an electronic device for students. Additional expenses include .50 FTE for a technical sim lab specialist.

Coordinating the required experiences requires approved affiliation agreements, learning contracts with the site preceptors, onboarding of preceptors, professionalism, coaching, and advising for students to prepare. The applied practice manager presently does the management of the experiences. As the COPH grows, it is impractical for one person to manage these requirements for all students. We anticipate significant growth in our DrPH (with the addition of a new concentration) and our MHA (with accreditation expected in the next year) enrollment. We must anticipate this growth and be proactive in growing our student services simultaneously. The proposed fee will not fully support the resources needed. Still, it will help offset additional  support costs required to ensure an exceptional experience for our students and practice partners.

DrPH Pre-Enrollment Deposit (applied towards tuition and non-refundable) This is a pre-enrollment deposit for DrPH admits. The DrPH program is a limited enrollment program with a waitlist. The deposit secures the student's position in the admissions class and will be applied to the student's first-semester tuition bill. Funds collected for students who ultimately decline to matriculate will be applied toward student success and development programmmg. 
COPH Online Course Fee This is a Campus level fee that is assessed to all students who enroll in COPH online courses. This fee supports FTE and resources for students related to online educational design, quality improvement and delivery.

Bindery Of Dissertations/Theses McGoogan Library Fees Upon request, McGoogan Library will arrange for bound copies of student dissertations and theses. A fee of $25 per copy covers the cost of binding and processing. The bound items can be picked up at the library, or mailed to the student for an additional fee of $10.
Student Access & Success Fee Student Success Fees The Student Access and Success Fees directs services to students through staffing (salaries and benefits) and programming (operating and event programming) efforts across wellness, mental health support, accessibility services, inclusion, financial aid, student life, career development, and general academic success services. Through these efforts, students are provided with resources focused on helping them thrive into, through, and beyond their time at UNMC as a learner.
Fund A - Omaha Campus Student Success Fees Covers costs of activities of and initiatives sponsored by Student Senate, as well as funds granted to recognized student organizations for approved events and activities. 
Fund A - CON West Nebraska Division Student Success Fees Covers costs related to student events and activities.
Fund A - CON Northern Nebraska Division Student Success Fees Covers costs related to student events and activities.
Fund B - Student Health (Omaha) Student Success Fees Covers costs for personnel and operations for the Student Health Clinic as well as personnel and operations related to Student Health Administration, including the student health insurance plan and student immunization compliance.
Fund B - Center for Healthy Living (Omaha) Student Success Fees Covers costs for personnel, operations, maintenance, and purchase/repair of equipment.
Disenrollment Fee Student Success Fees Fee no longer assessed and will be eliminated.
Graduation Fee Student Success Fees Covers the cost of diploma, diploma cover, mailing (if applicable) and costs for all other graduation processes including commencement planning, program production, and venue coordination. Also supports salary and benefits for position primarily responsible for graduation-related processes.
Graduation/Late Filing Fee Student Success Fees Covers cost of manual processes affiliated with the processing of late applications, i.e., additional diploma and/or attire orders, program adjustments, update of existing graduation lists and information.
International Student Fee Global Engagement This fee of $50 for each session/semester is charged to any international student who is not a US citizen or Permanent Resident. The International Student Fee is to be charged for each term/semester that an international student is enrolled since the Office of Global Engagement must continuously maintain the student's SEVIS record.  This fee will cover part of the cost of office staff that handle immigration advising on visa status, employment issues, mandatory immigration compliance and reporting, help with federal tax filing assistance, orientation programming and ongoing educational, cultural and social programming.  Any student whose status officially changes to one of the exempt classifications is required to submit proof of that change to ISSS and the fee will not be assessed in subsequent semesters.
MMI 922 Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory Techniques Munroe Meyer Institute Course no longer exists and fee will be eliminated
MMI Online Course Fee Munroe Meyer Institute Courses are offered exclusively online. Fees are used support purchase of apps and other software and equipment instructors need to deliver online course instruction. Fees also support instructor training and support services to stay updated with technology advances. Fees are also used to purchase student materials related to online program requirements and online coursework as needed.
Omaha Campus Student Parking Permit Parking Services The Parking Fee provides for a permit to park in designated areas on campus but does not guarantee a parking space.
