The Great Plains Trails Network is a group of citizens who advocate and support a network of trails in and around Lancaster County, Nebraska, for jogging, biking, walking and horseback riding.

Omaha Running Club

The Omaha Running Club has more than 500 members and has supported the Omaha running and walking communities since the early 1970s.

Papillion Race Series

The Papillion Race Series provides an extra incentive for all ages and abilities to participate in a community race. It is free to participate and no extra registration is required.

Trails

Metro Area Trails System

The trails network is available to a wide variety of user groups, including walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and cross-country skiers. Further, the system is accessible to people with disabilities and anyone just wanting to experience nature.

Nebraska State Park Trails

Nebraska’s state parks and recreation areas offer hundreds of miles of trails. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and cross country skiing are all trail activities offered within Nebraska’s state park system.

Wabash Trace Nature Trail

The Wabash Trace Nature Trail is a converted railroad right-of-way running 63 miles and over 72 bridges through the scenic Southwest Iowa countryside.
