Jordan Warchol

Jordan M. Warchol, MD, is an emergency physician, educator and health policy specialist. While in medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Warchol took an interest in physician advocacy and later was awarded the Resident Advocate of the Year award by the Nebraska Medical Association. She completed a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy at George Washington University, and also worked in the office of Sen. Orrin Hatch, a prolific health care policymaker throughout his more than four decades in the Senate. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and is the course director for the health system science curriculum. She also serves as the chair of the Nebraska Medical Association political action committee and sits on the board of directors of the Nebraska Medical Association. She was recognized as the Nebraska Young Physician of the Year by the medical association in 2019. She is involved in the American Medical Association, where she is as a delegate representing the Nebraska Medical Association and founded the Rural Health Caucus. She also is involved in the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Warchol’s policy interests include rural health disparities and care, drug policy and policy education.

Beyond her work, Dr. Warchol loves spending time with her family and trying new restaurants, especially when traveling – she has collected nine Michelin stars so far and is always looking to get more. She also sang the Star Spangled Banner at an event with over 18,000 people.
