Internal Event Spaces
UNMC's beautiful campus offers a variety of event spaces for gatherings of all sizes.
It's an easy process to reserve campus facilities and services for an internal event funded by a UNMC department or student organization, or University affiliate (such as Nebraska Medicine). The only requirement is that the department/organization reserving the space must be the same department/organization paying for and using the space for the stated purpose.

Internal Event Planning Guide
Before narrowing down a location for your event, please take the following steps:
- Be informed of what tables, a/v or other equipment is available in your event space and request any additional items in advance. There will be an additional cost if items need to be rented.
- Be sure to block off enough time for room set-up and clean-up, if applicable.
- Buildings on campus are locked at all times. Communicate special access needs for guests and vendors with the Campus Events Center Coordinator.
- Book a rain venue if the event is outdoors.
Visitor parking can be arranged through Parking Services.
In some cases, parking may be several blocks away from the Sorrell building. For an additional cost, shuttles can be arranged to transport guests. For rates and capacity of shuttles, contact Parking Services at (402) 559-8580 or parking@unmc.edu.
Great food and beverages can make any event more memorable and appreciated by you and your guests. So pick a caterer that fits your style and budget, or we can recommend some great ones for you.

The Truhlsen Campus Events Center and classrooms/auditoriums have your technology needs under one roof. The spaces is equipped with projection displays, multiple TV monitors, built-in sound system, Zoom capabilities, microphones, and more.
Smaller spaces, such as the Linder Reading Room and Alumni Commons, have portable sound systems and TV monitors, available to rent for presentations.
The UNMC Strategic Communications department has a variety of branded event materials available for checkout to enhance the University's identity at your event.
