Alvaro Flores, MD, FAAP, is an assistant professor of Pediatrics, and he is board certified in general Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Dr Flores, currently serves as the Medical Director of Weight & Wellness Specialty Care Program at Childrens Nebraska and he is board certified in obesity medicine. Dr Flores is passionate about all nutritional disorders with special focus in obesity medicine, metabolic associated liver disease and bariatric surgery. He had a significant role in the development of the bariatric surgery program at Children's Nebraska and he currently serves as the medical lead for the program. Some of the other main focuses for Dr Flores include childhood advocacy, medical education and general pediatric gastroenterology. Dr Flores strives to provide the most advance evidence-based medical care with respect, compassion and kindness.
