Why Choose an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency?
Through our residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, dentists can expand their career options and scope of practice. It may also be a good way to sharpen or increase skills or knowledge in specialties that could help in general practice.
Why Choose UNMC for Your Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency?
Our residency trains recent dental school graduates to deliver comprehensive dental care to a wide range of patients with varying needs, in different clinical environments, at an advanced level of skill and complexity.
Residents receive advanced training in their areas of interest, including endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, implantology, temporomandibular disorders and more.
Our residents gain extensive hospital-based experience providing comprehensive, emergency and multidisciplinary oral health care to a wide variety of patients, including those with special needs.
“I didn't have a lot of experience with special needs patients before UNMC, and that has been a really rewarding demographic to work with.”
