- C-STARS
  C-STARS, the Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills- Omaha is a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine. C-STARS Omaha works closely with UNMC’s Global Center for Health Security, iEXCEL, and the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit to take advantage of the medical center’s capabilities and expertise in biopreparedness training and research.

Amy Encinger, PhD

Program Evaluation Specialist

Amy Encinger received her doctoral degree at the University of Nebraska Lincoln in Human Sciences. She has led and worked on a number of evaluation and research projects over the last 10 years, including statewide and national projects. The majority of her work has centered on early childhood care and education, with a specific interest in material hardship and parent stress in relation to child outcomes. She joined the GCHS as a Program Evaluation Specialist for NICS/SHIPC in November 2022.
