Phyllis I. Warkentin, MD, is an associate professor in the UNMC Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology. She also serves as chief medical officer of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy, through which she has been involved in the development of standards and of the inspection and accreditation of stem cell transplantation programs worldwide.
