About the Center

Our center's researchers have varied talents and expertise but they are united in the common goal of developing novel antibiotics and therapeutic strategies to combat infections caused by these formidable pathogens.

The goals of the UNMC Center for Staphylococcal Research are to:

Conduct cutting-edge basic research on S. aureus and S. epidermidis.
Promote clinical investigations on staphylococcal infections.
Develop genetic and molecular tools for use by the staphylococcal research community,.
Serve as an educational center for developing scientists interested in pursuing a career in staphylococcal disease research.
