Director, UNMC Reproductive Psychiatry Services

Sharon Hammer
Dr. Hammer spent 14 years in adult outpatient practice with Methodist Health Systems in Omaha prior to joining the UNMC Department of Psychiatry in 2006. Dr. Hammer is currently the Director of Reproductive Psychiatry Services at UNMC.

Dr. Hammer is the Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Psychiatry and serves as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director.

Her interests are improving the quality and access of psychiatric care for women during the perinatal period. She is a member of the Marce of North America, Postpartum Support International and serves on the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Maternal Review Board.
