Resources for Cancer Prevention Research

Resources

Comprehensive Support for Cancer Prevention Research

The program supports cutting-edge cancer prevention research through specialized resources

  • WIN Lab: Advanced wellness and intervention research capabilities
  • Lung Cancer Screening Program: Clinical and research infrastructure for early detection

External Partnerships Our resource network extends through strategic partnerships with major research centers including the Alcohol Center of Research--Nebraska (ACORN), USC Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science, and the Pancreatic Cancer ARTNet Center. These collaborations provide access to specialized expertise and research infrastructure that amplifies our local capabilities.

Emerging Resources We're developing a new Cancer Population Sciences Survey and Measurement Core to support the growing emphasis on population-level cancer prevention research. This resource will provide specialized capabilities for large-scale data collection, survey development, and measurement science applications.

Pilot Grant Opportunities

The CPC Program released a pilot grant RFA in January 2025, supporting up to four collaborative applications with a total funding of $200,000. These grants emphasize alignment with the Center's Strategic Plan priorities, focus on Nebraska's priority cancers, and encourage transdisciplinary collaboration across research themes, including rural health, obesity and nutrition, and precision prevention.
