21 Days of Calm Wellness Challenge

Take a few minutes each day to pause, breathe, and recharge with the 21 Days of Calm Wellness Challenge hosted by UNMC Campus Engagement and the Center for Healthy Living. From Oct. 12–Nov. 1, join us in a daily practice of five-minute activities designed to reduce stress, boost mindfulness, and create small moments of balance in your routine.

Participants will receive a printable calendar with simple daily prompts, like mindful sipping, stretching, gratitude and short breathing exercises that can be done anywhere. The challenge will feature four guided sessions as well. Each session is led by Devashree Patel, PhD, certified Hatha yoga and meditation instructor. 

Guided Sessions Schedule
(No equipment needed. Workout attire and water is encouraged.)

  • Oct. 8, 8:30-9 a.m. & Noon-12:30 p.m. | Awareness & Grounding through Breathing Wellness Sessions
    Learn mindful breathing techniques designed to anchor you in the present moment. Cultivating awareness, easing tension and restoring balance, the guided breathwork session supports both mental clarity and emotional grounding. 
  • Oct 17, 2:30-3 p.m. | Breath & Movement: Flexibility & Flow
    Re-energize your body and mind through gentle, flowing movements synchronized with intentional breathing. This session promotes joint flexibility, improves circulation and helps release built-up stress to leave you feeling centered and refreshed. 
  • Oct 24, 2:30-3 p.m. | Reflection & Reset: Relaxation Techniques
    Close out the challenge with guided relaxation and reflection practices to help you unwind and integrate calm into your daily life. This restorative session uses simple techniques to relax the body, quiet the mind and reset your focus for the weeks ahead. This session promotes joint flexibility, improves circulation, and helps release built-up stress, leaving you feeling centered and refreshed.
