THRIVE Wellness Challenges

UNMC aspires to make movement and fitness integral components of our campus culture as we strive to become the healthiest health science institution in the country. Join the THRIVE Wellness Challenges and become part of the movement!

THRIVE is a catchy acronym that stands for Transforming Health and daily Routines by Inspiring Vitality in Everyone. The program’s goal is to inspire and empower participants to incorporate more activity into their daily routines, especially during the work or school day when people tend to sit for long periods of time. The program is free and open to members of the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine community, which includes students and employees as well as members of the Center for Healthy Living (CFHL). Participants do not need to be CFHL members to join the challenges. 

THRIVE Wellness Challenges are planned throughout the academic year.

Steps & Stairs 6-Week Challenge

Our first challenge of the fall semester begins on Monday, Sept. 8 and ends Friday, Oct. 17. It is a progressive mix of walking intensities and exercise time paired with stair steps throughout the 6-week challenge. It is a great way to improve your fitness and overall wellness as the new semester kicks off!
